#9 Victor Ellis

Victor Ellis will be remembered as an inspiration, for the manner in which he lived, played and represented the University of Alabama on and off the football field and for his gallant struggle with a disease that ultimately claimed his life. He went long before his time.  Ellis passed away at age 28,  falling victim to a rare form of cancer he was diagnosed with approximately 8 months before his death.
Ellis played all four seasons at Alabama from 1998-2001. He finished second on the team in tackles in 2000 with 94, including nine for a loss and 2.5 sacks.

He was an academic all-SEC performer and one of the more beloved members of Alabama's program.
